Twitter acquires SnappyTV a Video Sharing Service

Twitter, the network of 'microblogging', yesterday announced the purchase of SnappyTV, a service that lets you record, edit and share videos via messaging platform. The deal, whose terms were not disclosed, will help Twitter to reinforce their efforts to be more visually appealing as it struggles to increase its user base.

SnappyTV will be integrated into Twitter Amplify, a product company serving the media to distribute video platform. According wrote a spokesman for Twitter, Baljeet Singh, on a company blog, SnappyTV "is already used by the majority way of brands and our partners in the media to share video clips on Twitter."

Singh explained that Twitter SnappyTV integrate even more closely with their service form. "Our goal is to help publishers to quickly share great moments of events, so that people can experience them when they happen."
